Marna Liddie: All you need is a good DJ or wedding band they will keep things going for you. Don't worry about entertaining your guests, you have plenty of other things to worry about.A good DJ/Band will also help orchestrate everything such as when to have the speeches, cake cutting, first dance etc. They will play soft music during dinner, and a mix of slow and fast dance music after.If you are not into dancing, consider having a cocktail reception with a string quartet or classical pianist instead.Good luck!...Show more

Todd Stogner: music makes everything more entertaining..you have to admitat our wedding in the middle of our first dance (after we have danced a good amount of time) we are going to have the dj all of a sudden change the music to like footloose ! or cant touch this and break out in crazy dance!! ha ha justan idea, i dont know how formal and serious your wedding is!*edit* like shannon said i am having a candy bar at mine..i am putting bulk candies in big glass jars with scoops and letting my guests scoop their own into organza bags. all the candies are in my wedding colors. for your guest book--i am getting one of the poloriod cameras that instatly take your picture.. and have whoever sits at my book take the guests picture whenthey come and when the picture comes out have them sign the bottom where the big border of white is....Show more
Filiberto Amauty: Outside of dancing and the music/DJ, do something like an engagement video that cycles through photo's of you two when you were growing up, when you met, and through the time you were dating, all the way up to your engagement. Have different things for people to sign - my friend had all her guests sign pieces of cloth and her mother made a quilt from them. O! r have a photo matte for people to sign. Give each table a cam! era and just let everyone have fun taking pictures of random people and events at your wedding. You get some really cool photos that way! You can also have a candy bar where people pick and choose their own favors. Or even a chocolate fountain! Those are always fun! =)Edit - oh, and my best friend had a video at the beginning of her reception where she was talking about how they met and how they got engaged. Her now husband was also in the video explaining his side of the story. It was a lot of fun! She also had a video done when she had her bridal party and had that showing too.
