Todd Stogner: All region 1 (coded for North America) DVD players (and high definition DVD/Bluray players) will work with your standard-definition television. they just won't be in high definition because of your TV, but you will still be able to see all of the movies you watch.
Torri Tippey: Yes, as long as your TV has audio and video connections available, it will work as fine as pie. :-)
Clinton Migliori: Yes, even the latest DVD players will accommodate old TVs, only some new features such as HDTV will not be utilized.
