Nona Lentini: It's not a common problem for the model, but it is a problem with DVRs in general. They're basically a computer, and with that comes many of the problems that pc's have. They have hardware problems and software problems.If you've tried resetting it and that still doesn't help then you certainly need to take it back. Resetting would have fixed any software problems it would have. It probably has a physical hardware problem that you can't fix, so save yourself the headaches and frustration and get a new one....Show more
