Weldon Totaro: Oh yes, cats are very smart, and they learn quickly. The only thing that's different about cats, compared to dogs, is that they only do things when they feel like it, and dogs aim to please. Cat treats can be very helpful with training, but make sure you get them a healthy treat to munch on while training, because you may need a lot of them. Reyes Brunell: Shure! Some cats turn lights on and off, walk on their hind legs, do high fives, the possibilities are endless... cats can even learn how to use the human toilet. Cats are actually just as smart as dogs, but people underestimate them and don't even try to teach them tricks.
Marielle Hedeiros: Yes, you c! an teach cats tricks. It just takes some patience. I taught some of my cats several tricks. Others weren't very interested.I think the big difference between teaching cats to do tricks and teaching dogs to do tricks is that you can't get a cat to do something that doesn't appeal to the cat. A dog might do something just to please the trainer, but a cat won't do a trick unless the cat finds it fun....Show more
