Buying a car but No Pink slip only registration...?

Kiersten Clayburn: You must be in CA where the title is called a "pink slip." Without a title, you do NOT own the car. The registration is not a document of ownership. The seller must apply for a dupicate title. You cannot do it for him.

Andrew Sinatra: You can also use a vehicle/vessel transfer form. But you should probably go to the DMV with the person. That is the safest way to avoid fraud. If you know the person, then no, you don't need the title or pin! k slip.
