Car audio help and suggestions?

Tana Dumoulin: relatively cheap but still good speakers can be found at wal mart. depending on the size, pioneer and sony will cost about 50 bucks for 2 speakers (6-6.3/4 inch for the front) and around 60 bucks for 2 speakers (6x9 inch for the rear). also, subs are a good idea. a cd player, sub, box, amplifier and wire kit will run you about 300 bucks if you do it all pioneer stuff from wal mart. or check out crutchfield.com. they have good prices and good deals often and all the brands on there are good brands. pioneer, kenwood, sony, mdx, alpine, etc........Show more

Darwin Ecton: I don't know how much you have to spend but this is where I would start. 1: Replace the front speakers. Massive Audio, CDT, Morel, Fusion, MTX Audio, Infinity Kappa, and JL Audio are some good brands. 2: Get an amplifier. A 2 channel if you're only going to use the front speakers, 3 channel if you're going to have 2 speakers and a sub, 4 channel for just the 4 speakers or a 5 channel if ! you want 4 speakers and a sub. 3: Subwoofer 4: Rear speakers. Some people say rear speakers detract from the audio quality but my system sounds crappy when I turn them off. You can check out some prices here....http://www.sonicelectronix.com/cat_i857_car-audio.... But I'm not endorsing that company as I've never dealt with them, it's just an easy way to compare prices....Show more
